West Baden, French Lick, Jasper, Huntingburg and Ferdinand

Day One

Start your adventure at the former Eighth Wonder of the World, West Baden Springs Hotel. Built in 1902, the resort has been restored to it lavish grandeur of the early 1900s. West Baden is part of the French Lick Resort Casino complex. The facilities offer historic tours, gaming and wonderful dinning experiences.

Head to Jasper and visit the St. Joseph Catholic Church, an 1880 Romanesque, old-world style church that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Visit the Krempp Gallery. Delight in local art guild members' works while enjoying a live musical performance. End your day at the Schnitzelbank Restaurant and feel like you're in Bavaria at this one-of-a-kind German restaurant.

Day Two

Begin the day at Holy Family Church, a modern architectural marvel featuring the nation's second-largest stained glass window and the longest unsupported roof beam.

In downtown Huntingburg enjoy the antique and specialty shops of the Fourth Street District.

Visit the Shiloh Meeting House, the Hebrew word meaning "a quiet place," started by a group of German immigrants in 1842. Built in 1889, it was the first church in Huntingburg.

Travel to Ferdinand to visit the Monastery of the Immaculate Conception, dubbed the "Castle on the Hill." This monastery is home to one of the nation's largest communities of Benedictine women.
