Visit Indiana/IDDC Named Travel Media Competition Winner

INDIANAPOLIS - (March 4, 2021) - The North American Travel Journalists Association (NATJA) announced that Visit Indiana was selected as Silver and Bronze award winner in the 29th Annual North American Travel Journalists Awards Competition. This awards competition honors the best of the best in travel journalism, photography and destination marketing that cover all aspects of the travel industry. 

Visit Indiana received the Silver in the Social Media or Marketing Campaign and the Bronze in the Big Idea category, both for The 20 IN 20 campaign.

On January 1, 2020, Visit Indiana unveiled the ultimate 2020 travel experience, called The 20 IN 20. The program's motivation was to entice travel by releasing 20 lists of 20 things to do throughout the year. Each list had a topical theme to encourage people to visit places across the state in all 92 counties.

"It's an honor to have the Indiana Destination Development Corporation (IDDC) recognized for its hard work," said Lt. Gov. Suzanne Crouch. "NATJA is a highly respected national organization taking notice of Indiana."

The organization fosters high-quality journalism by supporting the professional development of its members, providing exceptional program benefits and valuable resources, honoring the excellence of journalism throughout the world, and promoting travel and leisure to the general public. 

"I am extremely proud of this team and their work on The 20 IN 20 campaign," said Elaine Bedel, Secretary and CEO of IDDC. " We had to pause the program in the middle of the pandemic but we made adjustments. There are more great campaigns on the horizon from IDDC."
